Stainless steel sheet and plate products.
Stainless sheet (stainless steel sheet) and plate are flat stainless steel products. In general usage, cold rolled product up to about 3 mm is called sheet and thicker hot rolled product is called plate. Cold rolled sheet comes with smooth finishes such as 2B, BA, No.4 and No.8; hot rolled plate with an annealed and pickled 1D finish.
Sheet and plate are turned into worktops, tanks, cabinets, panels and facade parts by laser cutting, bending, welding and grinding. 304 is common in food and general fabrication, 316 in chloride environments, 321 in welded parts at high temperature, and 430 in interior uses. This is general reference information; the grades supplied are confirmed in the quotation. For stainless steel sheet and plate requests, use the quote form; the company is based in Ümraniye, Istanbul.
Thickness, size and tolerance values vary by product form; exact values are confirmed during the quotation.
A selection guide based on general industry knowledge. Which grades are supplied is confirmed in the quotation.
Worktops, sinks, food machinery, panels and enclosures: the most common general-purpose choice. For thick welded sections, low-carbon 304L is considered.
Chemical and process equipment, tanks, coastal or chloride-exposed environments.
Titanium-stabilised grade: reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion in welded parts operating at high temperature.
Nickel-free ferritic grade: interior cladding and appliance panels. More limited than 304 in forming and welding.

In general usage, cold rolled product below about 3 mm is called sheet, and hot rolled product from 3 mm up is called plate. This boundary is market practice; the safest way to order is to state thickness and finish directly.
2B is common for general fabrication and parts that are finished later. BA and No.8 are for a reflective look. No.4 (brushed) is often chosen for visible surfaces such as kitchens and facades because it hides scratches and fingerprints better. Hot rolled plate uses the 1D finish.
Both are austenitic grades. 316 contains roughly 2 - 2.5% molybdenum, which raises resistance to chloride and pitting corrosion. 304 is common in kitchen and general fabrication, 316 in chemical and chloride environments.
Under EN 10204, a 3.1 certificate is an inspection document confirmed by the manufacturer's authorised inspection representative, independent of production, containing chemical composition and mechanical test results. Which document can be provided for a specific order should be asked during the quotation.
Yes. What is commonly called stainless sheet is technically stainless steel sheet. Thin cold rolled product is called sheet and thick hot rolled product is called plate; both are offered under stainless sheet and plate.
On the general market, cold rolled stainless sheet is roughly 0.4 - 3 mm and hot rolled plate is 3 mm and above. Common sizes are 1000x2000, 1250x2500, 1500x3000 mm and 1220x2440 mm. These are general market references; the thicknesses and sizes that can be supplied are confirmed in the quotation.
In the quote form, state the grade (for example 304 or 316), thickness, size, surface finish and quantity. Güven Paslanmaz is based in Ümraniye, Istanbul. Because price depends on grade, thickness, finish and the current market, no price is given on this page.
The service centre has CNC laser cutting and bending lines, and they are linked to the sheet and plate product. Which part is processed on which line, and the size limits, are confirmed during the quotation.
